Technical Client Representative

The Technical Client Representative implies the transfer of responsibility for project management from the client to their representative, allowing them to act in their stead, to achieve the objectives within the set times and costs.

This role also imposes great obligations and it is essential to act, behave and lead by example according to the company values of those who are being represented, becoming an effective link for all figures working on the project: designers, consultants, contractors, etc.

The main responsibilities of the Technical Client Representative include:

  • Maintain an accurate record of all construction/installation activities on a daily basis
  • Ensure that all relevant approved procedures and risk assessments are followed by the contractor
  • Manage and follow up on Non-Conformities that are issued by the contractor
  • Ensure that the Contractor proactively manages safety and quality
  • Communicate with Contractors during the installation stage to maintain a high level of quality
  • Attend periodic meetings to ensure that works are performed efficiently to achieve the required quality levels
  • Be present during all the key steps identified in the installation/construction stages
  • Attend and organise safety meetings with site safety coordinators and contractors

The Technical Client Representative has the authority to intervene or interrupt the work in the event of the occurrence of safety-related problems, or non-compliance by Contractors.
