Introduction

E.S.A. engineering S.r.l. recognizes the primary importance of elements such as ethics and the integrity of conduct and has always been committed to supporting the values of diversity and inclusion through the adoption of corporate, organizational and management mechanisms based on respect for people’s rights and freedoms.
ESA operates according to impartiality and does not allow any form of direct or indirect, multiple and interconnected discrimination in relation to gender, age, sexual orientation and identity, disability, state of health, ethnic origin, nationality, political opinions, social category and religious faith.

It also promotes the conditions that allow for the removal of cultural, organizational and material obstacles that limit the full expression of people and their full enhancement within the organization. In addition, it preserves the value of its staff and promotes the protection of psychophysical, moral and cultural integrity through working conditions that respect individual dignity and behavioural rules.

In this context, this document aims to develop a clear approach on the issues of diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities, in terms of mission, strategies and active practices in order to stimulate a heterogeneous, inclusive and supportive collaborative work environment open to the contributions of all the resources available to increase the trust of people, customers and civil society in general.

Objective and scope of application

The objective of the Diversity & Inclusion Policy is to formalize the corporate commitment in favour of the promotion and protection of the values of inclusion and equality and set out the principles which, in line with what is
stated in the Code of Ethics and the Sustainability Policy have always guided ESA in the transparent and responsible conduct of its activities.

  • ESA strives to promote diversity in all its dimensions to make the most of the resulting opportunities and generate value within the workplace.

  • The management and enhancement of the company’s human resources are oriented towards the inclusion and promotion of compliance with the principles of equality and dignity, both in internal relations and in relations with third parties.

Recipients of this policy are the shareholders, employees, collaborators and in general all those who, directly or indirectly, permanently or temporarily, establish relationships and relationships with the Company, each within the scope of their functions and responsibilities.

Esa’s Commitment to Themes Diversity & Inclusion

ESA intends to base its activities on supporting the values of diversity and inclusion through the adoption of corporate, organizational and management mechanisms based on respect for the rights and freedoms of individuals.
It undertakes to ensure that all employees and collaborators have a respectful and fair conduct within the working environment and towards third parties with whom they relate, displaying a behaviour that reflects inclusion and equality.

Diversity is a value that must be protected and encouraged with concrete and pervasive actions in all organizational and management processes through the understanding, inclusion and enhancement of the differences of one’s people.

Diversity enriches and opens up new ideas by multiplying the possibilities of generating innovative solutions: people from different cultures, social and generational backgrounds, skills, competences and experiences represent a distinctive value that enables comparison towards multiple perspectives and allows reflection and anticipation of needs of customers and reference stakeholders.

Therefore, in line with what has already been stated in the Code of Ethics and in the Sustainability Policy, ESA is committed to actively promoting multiculturalism in all company activities and contexts, to be considered fundamental for the development of innovative and distinctive elements capable of increasing competitiveness of business.

The company promotes policies and actions aimed at promoting equal opportunities and balancing between genders, the reconciliation of life and work times, the sharing of family responsibilities and the removal of potential obstacles, including those related to sexual orientation.

ESA implements a human resource development and management strategy, capable of promoting an inclusive culture to enhance the uniqueness of people and access to the same opportunities for professional growth regardless of the role held in the organization. With this in mind, it promotes and favours meritocracy and fairness of treatment at all professional levels, favouring the development, expression and enhancement of the potential of individuals.

ESA undertakes to ensure and requires compliance with these principles by all recipients of the Policy, in all phases of the employment relationship, from the selection phase to that of termination of the relationship itself.

ESA’s management is at the forefront of these issues through governance and active participation mechanisms such as the signing of the Charter for equal opportunities: by signing this Charter, the company contributes to the fight against all forms of discrimination on workplace – gender, age, disability, ethnicity, religious faith, sexual orientation – and values diversity within the company organization.

ESA recognizes compliance with the laws, regulations and regulations in force in all the countries in which it works as a fundamental principle of its operations and is committed to carrying out its business activities in compliance with high ethical standards.

The dissemination of the document is guaranteed through publication on the company website and through internal communication channels.
