Sesto Fiorentino (FI), July 11, 2025 – The inauguration of ESA Engineering’s new headquarters took place today in Sesto Fiorentino, marking the completion of a project that combined the restoration of historic offices with the regeneration of a disused industrial building. This ambitious initiative has created a contemporary, functional, and sustainable space, serving as a tangible model of urban regeneration within the Osmannoro area—a district with a strong industrial identity that has often been marginalized, but is now returning to the spotlight as a strategic innovation hub for the region.

The project, the result of an integrated vision combining technical expertise, sustainability, and corporate identity, represents the natural evolution of over thirty years of ESA Engineering’s activity—a consulting engineering firm with offices in Italy and around the world. “We wanted to send a strong message: the future is built through regeneration, not erasure,” said CEO Francesco Gori during the event. “This new hub embodies our identity: deeply rooted in the local area, yet open to the world.”
The inauguration began at 6:00 PM with a tour of the new spaces and moments of convivial gathering, followed by the institutional talk “Beyond Roots: Designing Value Between Local Dimensions and Global Visions”, moderated by journalist Lisa Ciardi from La Nazione.
Participants in the talk included Dario Nardella, Member of the European Parliament; Lorenzo Falchi, Mayor of Sesto Fiorentino; Andrea Rossi, Mayor of Loro Ciuffenna; Marco Pierini, Vice-Rector for Technology Transfer, Cultural Activities, and Social Impact at the University of Florence; and Massimo Marroni, Area Manager for Florence and Northern Tuscany at UniCredit. The event was introduced with a video message from Sara Funaro, Mayor of Florence.
